Episode One

We had many questions to answer before we could share Oji’s Origin story.

What should we name our main Scoopie?
Wait, what is a Scoopie?
Should these be journeys, quests or little dramas?

We met to hash out these questions and talk about the life of Scoopies. Scoopie, we decided, is a species and gender of a fun loving ice cream character who is on a journey to find flavor friends!

But what is our main Scoopies name?

The naming of Oji

We came up with a journey idea at our first meeting, but the original Scoopie name remained elusive. There were many rejected ideas before Oji really clicked for all of us.

Once we locked that in - Kajsa created the first storyboard.

Kate took the storyboard and created a style sheet identifying the character look, the purposefully vague ice cream engineers and comic format.
